A quick generic post to tide things over:
Today's my last full day in Croatia. I walked 16 km to Opatija this morning-afternoon and enjoyed dipping my toes in the Adriatic Sea while watching sea crabs cheekily surface on some rocks and follow with my eyes some small lizards at play (or competition -- not sure which). I took the bus back to Rijeka so that I'd be able to catch the Switzerland v. Czech Republic opening game of the Europa Meisterschaft (Euro Cup) 2008. Croatia plays Austria tomorrow evening in Vienna, but my train won't get in until late, which means I'll have to miss catching that match up. Ah well. I'm sure it will be on YouTube or something...
