For an exam, students were asked to write about how computers either make life easier or more difficult for people. Here are some excerpts from their responses:
Student A: In computers there are many program that let you talk with other people In a very easy way. Also, If you have party and you confused about what you will wear. You can open the camera for your friend or your family to let them choose with you.
Student B: On the other hand, computer have many disadvantages. If you spind many time in computer without any reasen then you lose your time. If you sit in one pleas in long beruat [period] of time that heart your bake [hurt your back]. foces in one skrem that hart your iues [eyes] and unhealthy. You will have extra wiyt [weight] if you sit one tsher [chair] and you did not move.
Student C: While I know that some people say, It is too complex Because they don't know how to turn on a software. Or its too difficult and it has a coded language. or that it Has to be used carfully and enely [only] profocinals [professionals] can use it. I say those ones should put training courses for computer on their schedule.
There you have it - computers can help us pick out outfits from our wardrobe, will give us health problems, and everyone should take up computer science courses so as not to become uneducated computer haters.
P.S. Anyone who was able to decipher Student B's response without my [ ] add-ins, you should be an ESL teacher!
