Stockholm Syndrome

Oh, Stockholm. How are you not quite possibly the best city on this earth? Your mass transportation is clean, well-connected, easy-to-follow, and afforable. Your streets are clean of trash and sewer smells. I feel dwarfed by most of your populace, yet appreciate their friendliness and knowledge about their own city and culture. The fact that waterways and pizzerias are ubiquitous and well attended make me feel as if this could be a prime place for me to write and reflect. If only you were not ueber expensive, we could be best friends.

Likes...
- copious amounts of stores that offer linen tablecloths and totes
- masterful, functional urban planning
- laying on the grass of the childrenäs park on my back with my knees up, feeling the sun heat my black pants and sunkiss my face
- seeing 7-Elevens every 2 blocks -- the taco calzone and mango and coffee cooler slushies get my stamp of approval
- contrasting modern and baroque buildings
- ticketed queues at train and tourist information centers

Dislikes...
- legs are not used to cobblestone streets just yet

Tomorrow, Jon, Shelly, and I fly to Prague. Will be staying at a pension other than where I have stayed there before. Hope to fully explore the castle and old town.
